Mission

Aims and Purposes
 

1.  An alliance dedicated to, but not limited to the protection of the individual rights of Motorcyclists through charitable works and public education.

2.  To improve road conditions, thus making roads safer for motorcycles by, posting of signs warning of potential hazards, alerting D.O.T of dangerous roadway conditions and having gravel trucks covered.

3.  To help prevent accidents through education by: promoting motorcycle awareness programs for all motorists, promoting rider education courses for motorcyclists, and pushing for insurance cuts through education and fewer accidents.

4.  Discouraging motorcycle thefts through rewards and through campaigns.

5.  Promoting involvement of motorcyclists by letting members know how government representatives voted on legislation affecting motorcyclist. Urging members to register and vote.  We encourage qualified members to run for public office and encourage members to write their representatives.

6.  Acting as a liaison between motorcyclists and government authorities, police department, government agencies, insurance companies, and other organizations.

7.  Countering, reporting and discouraging biased news reporting of motorcyclists.

8.  Presenting and promoting a better public image by,  keeping ABATE sponsored events orderly and peaceful, by putting on family events such as swap meets and poker runs, and by showing generosity and concern by sponsoring runs for charitable foundations such as blood runs, toy runs, trash runs, field meets and parties to raise donations for the welfare of the general public.
